Reportage 360

Reportage 360

Fotografi in circolo returns with two exceptional guests to talk about 360-degree Reportage.
Reportage is the photographic style most loved by photographers.

One of the first narrative approaches to photography is yet the one that most fascinates: perhaps because behind a photo there is the documentation of something authentic or perhaps for the expertise necessary for the shot.

It’s about this and much more that Antonio Gibotta (winner of World Press Photo 2017) and Michele Abriola (winner of the FIOF Italy International Photography Awards, the Wedding category) will talk about: two award-winning photojournalists who apply this narrative style in contexts so different yet so close, reportage and wedding photos.

The occasion will be the “Reportage 360” event/seminar organized by Fotografi in circolo on November 25th at the Officine Fotografiche headquarters from 9.00am to 1.00pm and from 2.30pm to 6.00pm.

Through a relay (or ping pong) narrative Gibotta and Abriola will compare with the participants on the most famous reportages they have made.
Because the real goal is just this: go beyond the simple story of their work but exchange ideas and opinions about what it means to photograph. And what it means to document an event that, by its very definition, is something particularly important for those involved.

Antonio Gibotta who will cover all his works up to WPP and how he uses reportage photography in the wedding camp. To this we will connect Michele Abriola who will deal with the post-production (also with practical examples) and will continue with the wedding to describe how the style that most belongs to us could be transmitted to the wedding.

At the end, portfolio’s lecture at the discretion of the participants.

The course will start on November 25th at 8:45 am with the welcome of the participants at the association’s headquarters and Officine Fotografiche in via Del Commercio Bellizzi (SA).

Reportage 360

Reportage 360
